Are you ready for some nightmare fuel?  Behold, Chimerarachne yingi!

This 100 million spider cousin was discovered in an amber market in Myanmar.  Luckily, for any of you that find this thing horrifying, this lineage of arachnid is long since extinct.

And it is horrifying!  Look at all of those weird abdominal offshoots.  Wait, is that a tail??  Yes, it’s a tail!

C. yingi had a tail like a whip scorpion, but it was attached to a more spider-like morphology.  Shudder!  Nature, you are capable of creating horrifying things!
